China Southern Power Grid Co., Ltd. is one of the two power grid companies separated from the former State Power Corporation of the People's Republic of China after the reform of the power system.

China Southern Power Grid is the first domestic power grid to "go global". The company actively implements the "Belt and Road" initiative, as the Chinese implementation unit of the Greater Mekong Sub-region power cooperation determined by the State Council, continuously strengthens the interconnection with neighboring countries' power grids, and continues to deepen international power exchanges and cooperation. By the end of 2021, the company has delivered a total of 39.49 billion kWh of electricity to Vietnam, 1.15 billion kWh of electricity to Laos, 21.54 billion kWh of electricity from Myanmar, and 1.94 billion kWh of electricity to Myanmar.
